When you embark on a capital campaign,a special project campaign, or a new fundraising initiative, you may be in unfamiliar territory. We can coach you through the mysteries, frustrations and joys of these bigger and more challenging fundraising efforts.
We will work with you to design a coaching relationship that offers you enough support, but not more than you need or can afford. We understand the challenges of running your nonprofit! Together we will determine the amount of consultation you need depending upon the scope of the project at hand and your internal strengths and gaps, and any unusual circumstances you are facing. We have no minimums or retainers, and work with you to determine the best way to meet your needs.

Often our coaching will begin with some level of Assessment. Following our assessment, we can work with you to provide a level of coaching designed exactly to meet your needs, providing the expertise and guidance you need. Some organizations have seasoned development staff, and CPGE can provide fresh perspective and unique expertise via light coaching and review. Other clients might need additional support, and CPGE can work on everything from case development, timelines, prospect identification and research to solicitation strategy and training, and materials development. If you need to augment your staff, we can help you find the right people to add to your development team.

Coaching and consulting can take many forms. Coaching can be short-lived to address a specific one-time need. Coaching relationships can sometimes span years and be maintained on an as-needed basis. Here are some examples of other types of coaching we do:
Troubleshooting a stagnant campaign
Planning a one-time fundraising effort or project
Helping you select and implement a new CRM database.
Brainstorming the strategy for a solicitation, project, or campaign
Designing a social media plan
Researching, writing, and reporting for grants
Conducting a wealth study for a group of your prospects or donors
Searching for a Director or Development Staff
Each of these assignments requires some background information from your organization, clear goals and an anticipated product. The final product may be a report or simply the implementation of the work. Most projects are billed on an hourly basis for actual time expended, and an estimate will be provided in advance.
