Feasibility and Planning Studies
Most capital campaigns, particularly those with significant goals, will benefit from a feasibility or planning study that includes interviews with prospective donors and individuals supportive of your organization.
Depending on your donor pool, the anticipated goal, and your history of fundraising, you may have an interview pool of 15-35 or more prospects, and you may or may not choose to include an internal assessment of your fundraising program.
Some people think the only purpose of a pre-campaign study is to test your goal, but we find that the study is much more than that. We will explore your donors’ and prospects’ reactions to your project, the depth of their passion for your programs and organization, and their concerns for the campaign and in general. We get their advice for ways to make your organization and your campaign most successful. While our interviews are confidential, we are consistantly accurate in determining the amount that can be raised, and will offer serious suggestions on adapting your plans to be most successful.
We conduct traditional feasibility studies but are also open to more innovative approaches. The cost for a study varies widely depending on the number of interviews, the amount of pre-interview and post-interview work, and even the geographic region you serve. We will prepare a proposal for your study after we’ve explored your needs.
